I’ve been around dogs my entire life, but I’d never had a puppy of my own. At first, I was completely overwhelmed. I was so used to older dogs listening, not a puppy looking me dead in the eyes while continuing to chew up everything in sight!
From the first phone call with Dean, I had a feeling he was the right person to help us. He made the entire process so much less stressful and was always patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and easy to learn from.
Freya, my almost 4-month-old Golden Retriever, has already come such a long way. I feel so much more confident working with her because of everything Dean has taught us. The training was easy to follow, it actually worked, and it made learning fun for both of us.

Double D was absolutely fantastic! We brought our puppy in as first-time dog owners, and from day one he was great—calm, patient, and really understanding of what our puppy needed to learn.

He didn’t just teach us how to train, he taught our puppy quickly and confidently. In a short time (around 11 commands), our little guy was already picking things up fast and responding much better day by day.

What we appreciated most was the extra effort he put into helping *us* too. We got tons of helpful tips and tricks for day-to-day routines, communication, and how to navigate common puppy challenges as beginners. We never felt overwhelmed—just supported and guided.

Working with Dean was such a wonderful experience! His method of positive reinforcement training was just what Eben, our little golden retriever puppy, needed to learn his basic puppy manners. Dean was a great help and resource for us when looking to train a rambunctious lab puppy. In four weeks we have a much more manageable dog, and we feel more confident in how redirect unwanted behaviors. My puppy has also enjoyed the positive reinforcement and the chance to be a good student. We had a great experience and I highly recommend Double D Dig Training.

Dean is a magician. We got a lab puppy and needed training, especially since we have 2 toddlers. I was so worried 4 sessions wouldn’t do much, but after 5 minutes into the first session, he had her sitting on command. I’m not exaggerating. He knows what he’s doing. I just wish he could train toddlers and husbands too 🤣
