I finally decided to do something about my eight year-old dog’s leash aggression because I was tired of being embarrassed every time we passed another dog during our daily walks. Dean gave me the tools to reinforce redirecting during our walks and now our walks are much calmer and more enjoyable. You definitely can teach an old dog new tricks!

Dean is phenomenal!!! This was our 2nd dog to be trained with him. My sweet boy Rolo had a rough start in life, so he was afraid of everything and everyone. After Dean’s help Rolo has made new friends and learned so much!! It’s truly incredible. He’s like a different dog. I just love the calming effect Dean has on dogs AND on me. His training techniques are superb and he is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. All 3 of my dogs (and my whole family) love Dean!

Dean is fantastic and really helped my little Daisy grow more confident and also helped me learn how to be a better dog mom. It’s been day and night from when she first started. Daisy absolutely loves him and he has really established a great relationship with me and Daisy.

I started working with Dean 2 days after we brought Olive home. His methods and training were clear and helpful. We have achieved so much in 4 weeks and we have a great basis for further training. But more than anything I have appreciated his experience and guidance in helping her to settle into our home and life - it has truly been invaluable. I’m sure we will work with Dean again in the future and highly recommend him.

Dean from Double D Dog Training was wonderful to work with. My husband and I love that he came to our home. He is clear with instructions and patient. He taught our Stanley the basic commands, which helps with his behavior and safety. Stanley was definitely excited to see Dean each week and his treats. We plan to take the knowledge he gave us and work with our older dog.

My doggo Dixie, was so energetic and boisterous, I couldn’t even walk her on leash outside. She would tie my feet up or pull me over…25lbs on the end of leash can do some injury.
Dean with Double D Dog Training came to my house and not only trained Dixie (terrier) but Hershey (Chihuahua) picked up some lessons too. He helped me learn how to drain Dixie’s energy with games and toys. Focus her when she would get distracted. And made it all fun and informative.

Our Miss Sadie just graduated from Double D Training and we couldn’t be happier. She came to us a timid, anxious, shy dog and within 4 weeks Dean was able to get her walking on lead, learning and understanding sit, wait, come, lay down, drop and leave it. It was so enjoyable watching her learn. She will stay on her mat while I go the the front door and collect packages or great guests. She watches me to hear “come” before moving. All thus in 4 weeks - amazing. And, Dean is a really nice person!
